ABOUT US
Lessons in Life and Sustainability from Standing Rock are what are driving our Organizations mission. Our mission is to support and supply fresh produce, especially through winters, to camps that have emerged in the Great Lakes Region since the closing of Oceti, Rosebud and Sacred Stone camps. The majority of those who went out to defend the water or support the Water Protectors in standing rock came back with a renewed sense of passion for justice. The experience gave us a glimpse of what a true community can really look like when we all work together. For many it was the closest experience to the life our ancestors lived that we have had to opportunity to experience as well and that is what is driving this project.
We need to live in a sustainable way everyday, we need to take care of each other and provide safe places for everyone's input, we need to share and teach those willing to learn and we need to do it in a good and supportive way. The long-term purpose of this organization is then two-fold. First to provide healthy, sustainably grown food and medicines to our families, our local community and into the Great Lakes Region Secondly, it is a place where people will be able to come work and learn about a variety of topics including, making of traditional medicines, sustainable living, Aquaponics and Vertical Agriculture.
